JEFFREY

JEFFREY

white wine and berries red

cassis-

milk from a bowl

drunk two hands

farina warmed

in a morning scrubbed cold

of a winter’s thin sun, formed

of his face and a third being fine

of acceptance to his world—

Release

me from a fear’s bold

unafraed of time’s scorned

eyes young for soon old

of laughter’s love warmed

wrinkled line.
